Teacher Appreciation

Okay so my eye-sights a bit poorly at the moment but hopefully this has turned out alright. These are wee gift bags for my kids to give to their teachers tomorrow and friday. The junior school finishes tomorrow seeing there is a whole school concert tomorrow tonight (which is going to be a long one as normal)therefore they are not required to attend school Friday so wee Tegan will be giving hers tomorrow. Unfortunately for Liam being middle school he has to attend Friday so his will go to school then. There is a card, notepad and pen, acetate box with maltesers and another box with cadbury favs (yum) all in a nicely decorated matching tote. Hope they enjoy!

More of Xmas

Yes I know. Another week has passed again. Really I have no excuse, time just seems to whiz by. Last night I was busy blog hopping and came across some really cool boxes on Andrea Walfords blog. Both these were orginally Easter items if your checking out her blog (and are simply too cute for words). The top one is a peek-a-boo gable box, and the bottom a door hanger treat pouch. I needed a better image I think for inside the peek-a-boo, so will have to give this another go. Maybe some presents peeking up might be better.

Enjoy your week and remember there is only 4 more days left to make purchases out of the current Spring mini.

Time for a Change

What do you think? I decided tonight it was time for a change. I got tired of looking at all the pink that used to be on my blog. I went for a surf around found a new banner and changed the background colour.

Third and final post

Yep here's some more I created. Its amazing what can happen once you've cleared a block.

This one uses Lovely as a Tree, Party punch and Say it with Scallops(found in the new summer mini coming your way 1st december) and the scallop square punch aslo in the new mini.
This uses Scribble this, Baroque Motifs and many merry messages. The large flower is versa marked on vallum cardstock then embossed using silver ep and coloured from the back using ruby red and handsome hunter marker pens.

And the very last one again uses baroque motifs, many merry messages and party punch. I used a large round tab circle temporarily adherred in the middle and stamped the small flower/star image around this, removed the tab circle and replaced with the scallop circles in real red and glorious green with the merry christmas from the party punch set. The large scallop rectangle around the Happy holidays is made using the new scallop edge punch out of the summer mini. I can tell this is going to be one of my favourite new tools. Scallop squares and rectangles any size you please plus it also makes a groovy medallion too.

Okay so that's all I have for now. Back again hopefully in the not too distant future.

Post 2

Alright so I was onto a bit of a roll by the time I finished the last three cards and thought I'd keep going.

The top card uses Pick a petal, many merry messages and Priceless. I made a template for the base of the candles using a scrap of white card and punched out some squares then sponged around the edges and stamped the swirl from priceless on. I stamped the flame of the candle in summer sun ink, rock n rolled in pumpkin pie , then used my glue pen and dazzling diamonds to finish it off.

This one uses Solomn stillness, many merry messages and festive favourites. Another very simple card but I still think its quite effective. I stamped the snow flakes with white craft ink on night of navy cardstock. Teared a piece of whisper white for the snow and sponged the top with Sanded ink. Stamped the Tree from solemn stillness, cut out and attached with a square of close to cocoa sponged around the edges for the trunk of the tree.

This one is a tag punch star.

Cute or what?

Thought I'd share with you some Cased Cards. Is this just the cutest thing you've seen? I sat down Saturday to create some Xmas cards and had a bit of a block. Splitcoast to the rescue! Can't remember who the original designer is of the cards I found unfortunately or I would give credit. Both Santa's are made using Su's very cool punches. I so love the top santa he is just so cute. He is the combination of a couple of different images on splitcoast combined together. The second card was originally created using a nestability for the face and surrounding hair, while not actually owning these I made do with the scallop punch and large 13/8 circle punch. Which I think turned out just great. Add some googly eyes and voila. The third card uses the stamp set snow flurries and the large13/8 square punch. I mixed some dazzling diamonds with some white ep for the star/snow flakes down the side.

New Product

There goes another week. Boy do they just keep flying past. I can't believe how fast Xmas is approaching. I am so unprepared this year. Usually I have almost all my Xmas shopping done by now, not this year, I have absolutely none done and the worst is I'm not even sure what the kids are getting. I'll have to get a wriggle on won't I. Anyway I made a couple of cards this week I thought I'd share with you all. They both use some very cool new stuff out of the summer mini due out on the 1st of December. I love being a demo and getting to pre-order stamp sets.

This is the card I made for my Dads birthday today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD ( not that he reads my blog but the thoughts there). It uses For Father out of the summer mini. I just love the image on this card. Its so cute. Both my kids had to make cards as well and both begged to use this same stamp set. So with a little supervision of my gorgeous new product Pop/Dad ended up with three puppy cards.

This next card is one I made for my Aunty who very graciously gave us a very lovely wall unit. It uses Embrace life and Say It with Scallops stamp sets, as well as two very cool new punches.

Okay off to create some more.

Christmas Boot

After Blog hopping for awhile today I decided to give the xmas stocking stuffers found on Anna Sutherland's blog (original designer Lauren Meader) a go. They are just the cutiest thing. I tried to make it look like a santa boot rather than a stocking not sure if I quite pulled the santa boot look off but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I've decided these are going to be one of the items we will make at stamp club this month. I still have three Fridays to go before this happens but I just had to share. So if my ladies are checking out my blog sorry to spoil part of the surprise but I will console myself with the knowledge that you still don't know what I will stuff them with. Can anyone guess I wonder?

m & m's meeting

Man am I a bad blogger! Once again a week has passed ( well over this time)and I have not managed to post. So with a gentle reminder from a good friend about the lack of new inspiration on my blog this is what I have to show you. Our monthly m & m's swap was to design a xmas card. As you can see the ladies once again came up with some marvellous desgns. Helen supplied us with tution for making the xmas cracker. These are so cool, I am definitely going to make more of these for the table at xmas, the only problem will be deciding on which DSP to use seeing as there are so many cool choices. The bottom pic is the card I contributed to the Swap. I so love season of joy and am really going to miss this when the mini finishes ( 30 November).

October Stamp Clup Projects

Wow, today is simply gorgeous. Must say its a bit of a shame I have to head into work shortly but thems the breaks. Thought I'd give you a quick post on two of the three projects we made at this months stamp club on Friday. Once again I left everything till the last minute and prayed the ladies would enjoy what I had whipped up. I was a little bit worried but I think they all liked them. I love these nights they just seem to lift your spirits. Lots of laughs, lots of stamping what could be better than that?

MIA

I know it seems forever since I last posted, but with school holidays and having to work night shifts its been awhile since I was able to have a play. So last night I made the most of my night off. So there I was sitting at the table lost, I wanted to play but what to play with , I knew I had to make a birthday card for my brother-in-law so I went for a browse through last years idea and catalogue book for some inspiration. I stumbled across a card using the stamp set Tag Time that I thought hay that'll do, I didn't actually own this set but I improvised. So the top card is my improvisation.

Receipe: Card: taken with teal, not quite navy, close to cocoa, and whisper white. Ink: close to cocoa, taken with teal, not quite navy and craft white. Stamp Sets: Pick a petal, It's your birthday and polka dots & petals. Accessories: black marker, color spritzer, mat pack and dimensinals.
And the best part is I completed an NZSU challenge as well!

This is a card I've had saved to my desk top for some time now (unfortunately I can't remember who the orginal designer was to give credit). The minute I saw it I knew I'd case it at some stage. Isn't it just fantastic that there are so many talented people out there willing to share there ideas for those days when you wanna play but are mojo lost.

Always

This is the swap I came up with for our monthly M & M's meeting. The challenge was mens/boys card. I must confess this one was hard. I really didn't want to have to use wanted, and lovely as a tree again - these being the only menish stamp sets I own, so I tried to use my newest purchase Always and as you can see I didn't quite pull it off, especially compared to the really awesome job the rest of the ladies did. Oh well there's always next month - xmas card challenge.

Faux Tiling

A couple of the ladies from stamp club had asked if we could do the faux tiling technique so this is the very quick last minute card I came up with to finish off the items for Stamp club on Friday.I am so loving this colour combination at present, I've kinda lost count of the amount of cards I've made using these colours. Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant and Whisper White.

Shoes & Shopping

What women doesn't love this combination - shoes & shopping! This darling little shoe was made at my monthly Stamp Club with my upline Michelle. Isn't it just the sweetest thing. One of the ladies at my work asked me awhile back if I could make her a card with shoes and handbags for her sister who is obsessed with both. While not having any shoes in our Su catalogue (that I'm aware off) I was a little bit stumped for this one - and then what do you know - Michelle finds this really cool template for this shoe. This was so much fun to make, and seeing as how I've already managed to give it away I'll definitely be making another. Check out Trudi's blog and the NZSU site for more fab shoes and the challenge.

Case'in Michelle

Okay so here is the third girly card. I turned to my lovely and talented upline Michelle for this card. This is for my niece's 8th birthday, I really wasn't sure which stamp set I was going to use for this card. Lovely as a princess didn't seem quite appropriate for this age, then I remembered a card I had made with Michelle on one of our thursday night stamp classes and I knew it would be perfect. Pick a Petal. This little lady bird is great. Older but still cute. Thanks Michelle.

Oh so Lovely

Really quick post tonight before I go get tea. Here is another of the girly cards I made on Saturday. If you think this looks familiar your right. Back in one of my earlier posts I made one using different colours and a different stamp set but the exact same layout. Two out of the five girly cards are now complete only three more to go.
