Baby Girl Swaps

Some pretty fine weather we've got going on at the moment. Real glad I made it home from work before it bucketed down etc. I have my first M&M's (michelle's mob) downline meeting tomorrow and we are swapping baby girl card fronts. This is what I have come up with. I don't think i've done too bad for a last minute 2am in the morning job( well technically I started at 11.30pm). I really need to get more organised and not leave things to the last minute. Oh well. Don't have too many baby stamps at this stage, had a differnt card planned in March but the swap didn't go as planned so I couldn't very well do that as most of what i had used had retired.

Can't wait to see what the other ladies have come up with.

Receipe: Stamp sets: wild about you, circle of friendship, polka dot,in the spotlight, baroque motifs, wanted.Card: whisper white, pixie pink. Ink: pixie pink, pretty in pink. Acetate & Tissue

WOW......... What a day I had today. My first workshop went really well. Everyone had a great time and seemed to really enjoy their make and takes. I received another booking for a workshop which is great (thanks shirlz) and their was lots of interest voiced for a techniques class or two (that'll put my thinking cap to the test). I really enjoyed bopping between the ladies helping and coaching them with their cards and bag/box. Think this may just be the niche i've been looking for. After leaving my workshop on a little high that i'd managed to pull it off without any major hitches i called in on my upline who kindly showed me a thing or two about my blog that i really wouldn't have had any clue what-so-ever on how to do myself. Thanks Michelle for your wonderful patience and guidance with what i'm sure often feels like the spanish inquisition.

Made these two cards the other day wasn't totally happy with their outcome at first but after a bit of a rehash I think i may have just pulled them off. What do you think. I think thicker tissue paper is definitely needed next time as it didn't quite get the desired effect I was after.

Receipe: Stamps: Leaves a la carte, fine lace, touch of nature, baroque motifs. Card: handsome hunter, night of navy, groovy guava. Accessories etc: PVA glue, ink refills-groovy guava, purely pomegrante, certainly celery, brocade blue, large oval, small oval, black stazon, acetate, tissue paper.

Recipe No.2.
Stamps: heartfelt thanks, touch of nature, Boho backgrounds. Card: ballet blue, purely pomegrante, whisper white. Accessories etc: PVA glue, ink refills:brocade blue, purely pomegrante, certainly celery, lavendar lace, Black Stazon, Acetate, tissue paper, versamark, sponge daubers, stamping pastels.

Forgot to mention second card is based on a similiar one Michelle made in one of her classes. Sorry Michelle I've been to so many of your cool classes I can't remember which one. Gee i think your tuition must have paid off its only 10.32 am I'm all finished. Night all.

Two more make and takes

Okay so i just had to try out another blog to see if I'm finally getting the hang of it. My hope is eventually I might be able to post in half the amount of time it took. Onward and upward. The first pic is the second make and take for this afternoon. Hope i'm not spoiling anything for the ladies attending this afternoon. It is case'd from Deborah Southard's splitcoast gallery (i have changed a few things but the overall design is the same). Credit goes to you Deborah for this inspiration.

Receipe: Stamps: wanted, sincere salutations. Ink: close to cocoa. Card: sage shadow, close to cocoa, very vanilla. Accessories: brads, chocolate chip 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, sponges, mat pack and piercing tool, DSP wanted.

The third make and take is the One sheet box tutorial by Beate Johns(doesn't she just have some fab ideas). I am so loving the new stamp sets(in particular baroque motifs) and the new in colour card. Delicious. Hope the Ladies today enjoy them too.

Receipe: Stamps: so swirly wheel, baroque motifs. Ink: groovy guava. Card: groovy guava, river rock, whisper white. Accessories: scallop punch, non Su ribbon and brad.

FYI: have still not got the hang of blogging. Oh Well there's always tomorrow.
