Nuetrals Challenge

I'm Back! I've had blogging withdrawls. Gosh darn don't you hate when your computer crashes. A valuable lesson learnt however. I procrastinate a lot, I'm always saying i will back that up I will. Well as you can guess i didn't back it up. I lost lots. I have only just managed to put almost everything back on, some stuff is gone for good. You get that I guess when you don't back things up. I'm going to try to make a concience decision to back up on a regular basis. Anyway enough of that now.

Today we had our monthly M&M (michelle's mob) meeting. Our challenge was to use neutrals card stock. The first card is the one I submitted. I wasn't sure where I was going to start with this challenge but am pleased with the outcome.

Stamps: baroque motifs, carte postale, polka dot (bg) its your birthday.

These are from the very talented ladies that attended our meeting.( I hope you don't mind ladies that I've posted these, I just love them and wanted to share your awesome job with everyone).

This is the really cool Make and Take Trudi came up with for us.
I Had so much fun this morning it was really great (wish all meetings could be like the ones we have). Thanks ladies. Looking forward to next months challenge to use bold brights card stock.
Bye for now.

Wallet Card/boys cards

First off I just want to say sorry for the poor quality with the photos. I'm not sure why they've turned out the way they have but I think I'm going to have to start taking photo's of the cards during daytime hours. The first is totally cased from Michelle Force's blog (http://www.michelleforce.blogspot.com/) If you haven't been to her blog before you should totally check it out she does some really fab stuff. It is intended for my nephew who turns 11 on tuesday. So hard to buy for as they get older, so have turned to giving money and as soon as I saw this wallet card I knew i had to case it. Check out the nice space on the right hand side inside the card for writing all the sorts of things 11 year olds really wanna read I'm sure.

Receipe: Card: close to cocoa, chocolate chip, very vanilla. Ink: chocolate chip. Stamp:It's your birthday, wanted. Accessories: sponges, black marker for stitching, acetate

The next two cards are maybe for a workshop I'm doing this Wednesday. I asked my hostess if there was anything in particular she would like to make and she said a boys card. Out came my ever faithful wanted. I have used this set so much it is definitely one of my favs, right up there with scribble this and baroque motifs (gotta love those swirls) . I think I'm leaning towards the first card more than the second as it has too much soft sky in it I think. Still, there's three more days however to make some more. Leave me a comment on your thoughts. Maybe you can help me decide if either of these would be any good.

I'm going to cheat a bit now as I'm finally feeling like I need some sleep, so..... if you'd like the receipe for either of these two cards email me and I'll happily send it to you (but not tonight lol). Gosh I've just looked around me, I'm gonna definitely have to clean some stuff up before I go to bed I can't even get out the door. I must have just about everything out of my cupboards and draws. Imagine my kids, they'd have a ball in the morning with all this stuff left out. Now there's a scary thought. Right..... off to clean up.

And yes she has already posted them on her blog so whip over and have a peek they're really neat.
My intentions were good tonight I was meant to make a birthday card for my nephew who turns 11 next week (was trying to be organised lol) never quite made it. This is what I came up with instead. More manly I think than boyish. It was based on a card I had spied on at Michelle's. She really does do some awesome stuff. As for my nephews card guess I'll just have to play another night. Well I'm off to bed now. See you tomorrow night Shirlz. Night All.

Receipe: Card: More mustard, old olive, bravo burgundy, whisper white. Stamp: Lovely as a tree. Ink: Lots involved for sponging. Accessories: black embossing powder, non SU eyelets.

Scribble This

My 2nd and final mother's day card. I definitely prefer this one over the other. There's just something about these colours, and who could go wrong with the fabulous colour coach as there guide. I must confess when I first looked up what would go with almost amethyst i said to my husband there's no way these will work (just goes to show what I know aye). I think I'll be using this combination quite a bit more. I am also really liking the Scribble this Stamp Set. Isn't it funny how some days your cards can just flow together quite quickly and others (oh my gosh.....). I wish I had purchased the occasional greetings stamp set - happy mother's day - would have been great to use, guess i'll just have to add it to my wish list (which grows bigger everyday).
Well Mum's hope your not peeking, if you have shame on you (just kidding happy mother's day for Sunday).

Night All.

Receipe: Card: Almost amethyst, rose red, so saffron. Ink: rose red, so saffron. Stamps: scribble this, curvy verses. Accessories: watercolour paper, blender pen, word window punch, sponges, rose red marker.

New Stuff

Don't you just love the sound of a delivery van at 7.30am in the morning? I'm like a little kid in a candy shop when I get my boxes of stampin up product. Ooooh....what to play with first. I've got the day off from work today. It was supposed to be catch up on the housework day but now I'm not quite sure that'll happen as well as what was intended. Can't just leave all this lovely product to feel neglected now can I (lol).

Carte Postale

I just started my new hours in my new job today and I must say i'm liking it very much. Usually i would be at work at night (freezing i might add at this time of year) until 11 or 12. Tonight i find myself at home cozy as, fire blazing, stamping and sipping wine. So this is what I did on my very first night at home. I hauled my stampin gear out to the lounge in front of the fire and created this. The colours don't look quite as good in the photo much better in real life. I have used the faux tile technique on this card. I love the tile look and it is so simple.

Receipe: Card: soft sky, tempting turquoise, pixie pink. Ink: night of navy, bashful blue. Stamps: leaves a la carte, carte postale. Accessories: Versamark, clear ep, brayer, white gel pen(for highlights in Leaves), paper piercer, mat pack, crop-a-dile, non SU eyelet, dimensional, 13/8" square punch, 11/4" circle, 1/2" circle.

Sorry was supposed to put Images Copyright Stampin' Up! 2008/2009 on bottom of photo not sure how to do it now so hope this is good enough.

Storage

Sorry folks no cards today. My brothers A Gem. After visiting Michelle Forces blog http://micheleforce.blogspot.com and seeing her awesome stamp room and Storage ideas I very sweetly emailed my brother a pic of her stamp pad cabinet and pleaded for him to make me one. Not even a week later and he arrived on my door step to make it for me. Five Hours later with some help from my hubby and this is the finished project. My goal now- to fill mine so it looks as cool as Michelle's. Thanks guys your legends.
